Dr. Andrea (Andy) Thyrring (they/she), has worked in higher education since 2013 focusing on trauma-informed praxis, primary prevention of sexualized violence, and power-conscious approaches to addressing harm. Originally from New Jersey, Andy earned their doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Denver to use instructional design methodology to create prevention and support education across modalities. Andy has presented their research and program frameworks at 5 national conferences and has consulted with the National Organization for Victims Assistance. Currently the Executive Director of the Office of Education Solutions at MSU Denver, Andy fosters the connection of innovative solutions to persistent problems of practice in the field of education while exploring impactful funding opportunities. Andy is also an Adjunct Professor in Women and Gender Studies at the College of New Jersey.
